Ah, Harry Potter. If those words ring a bell, chances are you know what the name entails. J.K. Rowling created a wonderful world with her Harry Potter books, and I've read all seven of them several times.

Random person: "Don't you mean eight?"

No, there are only seven.

Random person: "But what about Cursed Chi-?"

DO NOT SPEAK OF THAT BOOK IN MY PRESENCE!

*ahem* Yes, anyway, the books are great, and they are still popular to this day. I could talk about them forever. The story, the characters, the humor, the tightness with continuity(like BoJack Horseman level continuity), the themes they tackle, all of it is just fantastic.

And then of course, there's the movies. Even if you've never read the books, chances are you've seen the films. While the critical and audience reception for them has been rather mixed, the box office for them ranks the series as one of the highest grossing film series of all time.

But there's one bit of Harry Potter material that I don't see a lot of people talking about: the video games. With Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them coming out in a few months, I wanted to do something Harry Potter-related in preparation for it with all the excitement surrounding it. But people have covered the books and movies in depth for a while now, and I feel I'd just be another voice in the crowd if I reviewed those. So the video games were the next logical step.

Now, the main reason I'm doing this intro is to get a few things out of the way before I begin these reviews. First off, I'm aware that some versions of each game are vastly different from each other. So to make it clear, here are the versions that I will be talking about. For Philosopher's Stone, Chamber of Secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban and Goblet of Fire, I will be looking at the PS2 versions. Order of the Phoenix will be on the PS3. Half-Blood Prince and Deathly Hallows: Parts 1 and 2 will be on Xbox 360. Second, I'm only looking at the games based on each individual movie, so Lego Harry Potter and Quidditch World Cup will not be looked at for this particular marathon. However, that doesn't mean I won't look at them sometime in the future. *wink wink*

So, with all that out of the way, stay tuned for when I review Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for the PS2! See ya then!
Everyone knows the books and movies....but what about the video games?
